ONARI  is a 10 part sci-fi drama series set in small town Cape Breton Island, where a devastating quarry explosion triggers magnetic disturbances revealing a hidden alien structure. Small town life and extra-terrestrial realism tragically collide as some fear the tangible reality of the alien discovery, while others fear a deeper secret. Ancient space traveler survivors are living hidden in plain sight. Undetected shape shifting alien refugees from the past are woven into the town’s foundations. Based on authentic Mi’kmaq lore and ancestral stories ONARI exposes invisible common threads that bind humans and nonhumans alike in a science fiction story intertwined with the universal desire for harmony, community, and peace with the reality that we are not alone.
